Simple Tuna Salad Recipe

Simple Tuna Salad, low fat

Yield 4-5 servings | Serving Size: ½ cup tuna salad 


Ingredients:

  • 2, 5 ounce canned tuna fish in water, drained

  • ½ cup chopped celery

  • ½ cup chopped red onion 

  • 2 egg whites, hard boiled and yolks removed

  • 2 stalks Green Onion (finely sliced)

  • 3 TBS low fat Mayo or Primal Kitchen Mayo

  • Sea Salt and Black Pepper (to taste)


Directions: 

  1. Place the 2 eggs in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, turn off the heat but keep the saucepan on the hot burner. Cover and let sit for 10 to 12 minutes.

  2. Strain the water and fill the saucepan with cold water. Let the eggs sit until cool enough to handle. Peel and set aside.

  3. Drain and rinse canned tuna fish 

  4. Add all chopped ingredients in a mixing bowl with mayo

  5. Add tuna fish to mixing bowl and combine ingredients until mixed

  6. Remove egg yolk and chop egg whites

  7. Add chopped egg whites to mixing bowl

  8. Place in a container and refrigerate immediately. Enjoy!
